Calvin Chu Yee Ming is Partner at Eden Strategy Institute (, a strategy consulting practice that helps organisations achieve sustainable advantage in the areas of smart cities, healthcare, education, industry development, and the emerging middle class. He is lead investigator of Eden’s Top 50 Smart City Government Rankings (, and he helps smart cities develop strategic roadmaps, design policies and programmes, scout for innovations and technology use cases, co-create with citizens, for 3P partnerships, and analyse the impact of smart investments. Calvin has advised over a hundred Fortune 500 clients in more than 20 countries, including corporations such as Bell Labs, Intel, General Electric, and Samsung; the governments of Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia; as well as multilateral organisations such as UNDP, UNESCO, and UNICEF. He has served as President of the Chicago Booth Alumni Club of Singapore, on the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s Youth Social Enterpreneurship Programme Grant Committee, on the jury of MIT’s Emerging Technologies Innovators Under 35, MIT’s Inclusive Innovation Challenge, and the President’s Challenge Social Enterprise Awards, as well as the boards of Biofourmis, Conjunct Consulting, Rotary Club, and the World Toilet Organization. Calvin is also an Associate Lecturer in Strategy and Organization with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and has mentored dozens of entrepreneurs as an iAdvisor with International Enterprise Singapore and Executive Advisor to NUS Enterprise’s Social Venturing Programme.
