
Prof. Dirk Neumann

Prof. Dr. Dirk Neumann studied economics at the Justus Liebig University Gießen and at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where he graduated in 1999 with his master’s degree. He went on to complete his studies in Gießen as valedictorian, earning his Diplom degree in 2000. In 2004 he received his doctorate with distinction (summa cum laude) from the University of Karlsruhe (TH), the predecessor institution of today’s KIT. Also at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), he completed his Habilitation in 2008, qualifying as a professor in the field of business administration. In the same year, at the age of 34, he was appointed as the Chair of Business Information Systems at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg.
